Once you’ve had a site or blog up and running for a couple of weeks or so,put together a daily news page about your industry or marketplace, add at least one new news type item every week day, ask Google News to add you to their list as a news source for your industry sector.

Google News is said to be used more by business people than any other search engine. If you have news that changes daily, real people will find you when they search Google News for anything to do with your line of business.

Most marketers don’t consider themselves news correspondents. Just remember, though that publishing “news” is just saying in your own words (Copyright!!) what’s going on in your industry. Even at it’s most basic level, it’s a few hours a week for research and writing your news, just make sure you don’t just publish other companies news items. The extra traffic, visitors and profit from your web pages & blogs will make the few hours doing this an excellent investment
