Motivational Savings

Every book I read tells me to do the same thing – get a large glass jar or tin or something similar and use it as a daily savings bank. Everytime I save money somewhere, somehow, like using coupons vouchers and so on, I put the “saving” into the Daily Savings Bank. So, I thought I’d start doing this to see what happens – and provide a true, honest record for anyone else considering doing this.

So, to start, I’ve started my Motivational Savings Page here – and what I’ll do is update it a couple of times a week with the amount of money I’ve saved, but spent it by putting it in the Savings bank. Shall we see if something like this does actually make a difference?

To start off with, I’ll count up all my loose change lying around the house, and use this total to start the savings bank off with. Will it work? Don’t know, but since every finance book I read tells me to do this, the idea must have some merit, mustn’t it? We’ll see anyway - you can check my progress on my Motivational Savings Page Link on your right.
