About Me

About Me

Thanks for joining me! I hope you find this blog helpful more than everything else, if you find it inspirational then I’m proud.

Who Am I?

I am a 44 year old white English man. Married, four kids, three of which have now left home, leaving us with just the baby now, who’s just turned 16.

I live in East Anglia, UK, about 8 or 16 miles (depending which way you go) from the coast. The area where I live is highly rural being set in deep countryside, and I live on an ex-American Air Force Base.

Why The Blog?
Things have got to change – I’m sick to the back teeth of struggling every day. I have a strong marriage and brilliant family; it’s the financial side of my life that I’m struggling with, all the time, every day.

As I see it, I can either just go through life as it is, or I can make a definate change to give me freedom from drudgery and financial problems.

The final straw came a few days ago when my daughter asked me for a couple of quid for busfare, and again I hadn’t got any money, and she had to borrow money off friends just to get to college. That was in the same week that I’d stopped our house being repossessed by the bank through arrears. At the 11th hour, for the fourth time in as many years.

So, having read loads on re-organising life and self development, I’ve put my own program together, taking bits of the best of the others, and I’m now trying it out. If it works for me, It’ll work for anyone. And that’s when I can start making money from it. I’m the guinea pig.

My Hobbies:
Family life, gardening, computing, web designing, pyschology, writing, reading, education.

What I stand for:
Honesty, reliability, family and moral values, cleaniness, tidyness.

What I hate:
Dirty shirt collars, people who won’t stop talking, selfishness, boasters, braggers, egotistical people, laziness, boredom, not being in control of any situation, my job.

Health Issues:
Clincal Depression (diagnosed first in 1997)
Emphysema
Inherited Legacy: All the males in my family line were dead by the time they were 50 (my father being the longest survivor). I have outlived my grandad who died at 43.

Biggest Regrets
Wasting half (almost all, if my legacy runs true to form in my case – hopefully not!)my life in debt and constantly fighting money problems ALL the time. But, as well as this, I regret deeply that my family have also sufffered with, and because of, me.

Giving up on my business instead of seeing problems through.

Not being there with my family – all the kids have grown up now, and I’ve missed out on so much – just like the kids have.

What I’d never do again:
Employ staff – when my business was running years ago I had nothing but problems from the staff. Never again. If this business takes off, all staff requirements will be sub contracted out.

Living or dead, if I could invite 6 people to a dinner party, I would invite:

Margaret Thatcher (my own personal legend)
Winston Churchill (another legend)
My Father (So many questions to ask him. He died at 49 when I was only 15)
Albert Einstein (Inspirational)
Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean), a comic genius
Joe Karbo (An American who was in my position years ago who managed to pull himself straight at about my age and went on to make millions)

Favourite colour:Black

Star Sign: Cancer

If I was Prime Minister I Would:

Reduce all taxation, and overturn Gordon Brown’s last 102 taxes that he’s introduced since beoming Chancellor

Stop further immigration

Make Britain great again by pulling us out of Europe, and overturning all the silly European laws we’ve had to tolerate

Ban every aspect of political correctness

Overturn every amendment to the Health & Safety Act made since 1970

Sack all Health & safety staff and give them proper jobs instead
